Alex is a founder and Partner of Southlea Group.

For the past 15 years, he has advised boards and senior management teams on aligning pay programs with their business strategy and performance objectives. He has expertise in all areas of compensation benchmarking, design, and governance, including disclosure, Say on Pay and investor and proxy advisor voting guidelines.

Prior to founding Southlea, he worked at a global multi-service consulting firm as the market leader for the Toronto Rewards Practice, and a member of the North American Governance Team. In these roles, Alex was the lead advisor to many of the largest client relationships in the Toronto market.

Alex is a member of the Advisory Board for the Greater Toronto Area Rewards Association (GTARA) and a member of the Governance Professionals of Canada (GPC). He is also a former faculty member of the Directors College.
